Abstract

An aqueous copper composition is provided for use in hydrometallurgical flotation processes comprising a copper component, an ammonium hydroxide component or an amine component, and a weak acid component. The composition is used as an activator in hydrometallurgical flotation processes to activate sphalerite, pyrrhotite, marrnatite, and arsenopyrite. The composition replaces copper sulphate and is added in an amount from 20 to 40% (w/w) of the standard amount of copper sulphate generally used as an activator.

La présente invention concerne une composition aqueuse de cuivre destinée à être utilisée dans des procédés de flottation hydrométallurgique qui renferme un constituant cuivre, un constituant hydroxyde d'ammonium et un constituant acide faible. Cette composition est utilisée en tant qu'activateur dans des procédés de flottation hydrométallurgique pour activer la sphalérite, la pyrrhotine, la marmatite et l'arsénopyrite. Cette composition remplace le sulfate de cuivre et on l'ajoute suivant une quantité comprise entre environ 20 et 40 % en poids de la quantité classique de sulfate de cuivre généralement utilisé en tant qu'activateur.
