CERAMIC SANITARY WARE PROVIDING FEEDBACK AND THE METHOD OF FEEDBACK

Subject of the Invention

The invention relates to a ceramic sanitary ware, which detects the behaviors and preferences of the user, records said behaviors and preferences and provides feedback to its user, and to a method of feedback.

State of the Art

The ceramic sanitary ware are mainly used for the purpose of personal cleaning in the bathrooms and toilets. With the advancing technology, the ceramic sanitary ware, i.e. the components of the ceramic sanitary ware, have also started to be become automated. As a result of this automation, the necessity to detect the user behaviors by means of various sensors has emerged. More specifically, the data such as the movements of the user, duration of the use of the ceramic sanitary ware, activation states of the components of the ceramic sanitary ware and number of activations for the same are detected and the actions predefined in the system are performed based on such detections.

In the systems according to the state of the art, the detected user movements are used only when deciding whether or not a predefined action is to be performed; they are not recorded and not converted into a meaningful data set by way of interpretation. Even though the today's systems have started to become smart, the users may continue to manually intervene in the systems depending on their habits. While said interventions are sometimes deliberate actions taken as a result of the user's preference, sometimes they are the actions caused by the habits. Such interventions may lead to unnecessary consumption of power and water in some cases and various hygiene problems in some other cases.

With the ceramic sanitary ware providing feedback and the method of feedback according to the invention, a ceramic sanitary ware and a method are described, wherein the movements and behaviors of the user are recorded, the user is enabled to be informed about his/her movements and behaviors and the user is enabled to be informed accordingly in case an inadvisable movement or behavior is repeated.

Object of the Invention

An object of the invention is to develop a ceramic sanitary ware providing feedback and a method of feedback, wherein the movements and behaviors of the user are recorded and said recorded data are converted into a meaningful data by way of evaluation.

Another object of the invention is to develop a ceramic sanitary ware providing feedback and a method of feedback, wherein the user is enabled to be informed about the repeated and inadvisable movements and behaviors among the recorded user movements and behaviors.

Detailed Description of the Invention

The invention relates to a ceramic sanitary ware, which detects the behaviors and preferences of the user, records said behaviors and preferences and provides feedback to its user, and to a method of feedback. More particularly, the invention relates to a ceramic sanitary ware, which records the movements and behaviors of the user, evaluates the repeated movements and behaviors and enables the user to be informed about the inadvisable movements and behaviors, and to a method of feedback.

The automatic ceramic sanitary ware comprise various components employed for the purpose of detecting the user movements and the use of the components of the ceramic sanitary ware. These components may be the sensors detecting the proximity, movement and/or contamination as well as the sensors and/or actuators capable of detecting the position of a component, preferably a toilet seat cover and/or toilet seat. In a preferred embodiment, at least one sensor and/or at least one actuator operate in connection with at least one main processing unit, wherein the information provided by the sensors and/or actuators are interpreted and recorded by the main processing unit.

In the embodiments where the toilet seat cover and/or the toilet seat move automatically, the sensors detecting the movement and/or proximity are used most of the time in order to detect the user and/or the movements of the user and the movement of the toilet seat cover and/or the toilet seat is provided with the help of the actuators depending on the user movement. In the ceramic sanitary ware comprising an automatic flushing system, the flushing process is performed according to the presence of the user and/or the level of contamination. In the ceramic sanitary ware where the flushing process takes places according to the presence of the user, the presence of a user may be detected again by the sensors that detect the proximity and/or movement. In the embodiments where the flushing process takes place according to the contamination level, the sensors capable of detecting the contamination level are used. In case the predefined conditions, if any, for the realization of the flushing process have been satisfied, the actuator that enables the ceramic sanitary ware to be flushed is activated to thereby perform the flushing process.

The circumstances under which the toilet seat cover and/or the toilet seat should open or close and the circumstances under which the flushing system should be automatically activated are predefined in the main processing unit. In case such predefined circumstances have taken place, the toilet seat cover and/or the toilet seat open or close and/or the flushing system is activated.

The method of feedback for the ceramic sanitary ware providing feedback according to the invention operates based on the principle of

• recording the interventions of the user in the toilet seat cover and/or the toilet seat and/or the automatic flushing system,

• comparing the recorded user interventions with the operating principle predefined in the system, and

• informing the user about the differences between the defined operating principle and the user intervention.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the ceramic sanitary ware comprises an automatic flushing system. In this embodiment, the ceramic sanitary ware is enabled to be automatically flushed after the use. The circumstance where the flushing system is activated again by the user despite the user having completed the use and the ceramic sanitary ware having been automatically flushed by the flushing system, in other words, the manual intervention of the user, is recorded by the main processing unit. In case this circumstance is repeated, the user is informed about the difference between said user intervention and the operating principle of the system. More specifically, the user is informed about the fact that the flushing process has been performed one more time manually, although the flushing process has already taken place automatically. In an embodiment where it is possible to adjust the quantity of liquid used by the automatic flushing system during the flushing process, in case the flushing process is performed again manually by the user despite the flushing process having taken place automatically, the user is informed that he/she may increase the quantity of liquid used for flushing.

In an embodiment where it is possible to detect the duration of use of the ceramic sanitary ware and/or the way of using the ceramic sanitary ware, i.e. the use of the same in a seated or standing position, and it is possible to perform the flushing of the ceramic sanitary ware with at least two different quantities of the flushing liquid, in case it is detected that the ceramic sanitary ware is used for a short duration and/or in a standing position but the flushing is performed with the quantity of liquid that is greater than the other quantity, the user is informed that although the flushing with the quantity of liquid smaller than the other quantity could be sufficient to clean the ceramic sanitary ware, the flushing has been performed with the volume of liquid greater than the other volume.

In an embodiment where it is possible to detect the contamination level of the ceramic sanitary ware by means of the sensors, in case the flushing system is triggered one more time by the user after the automatic flushing process even though the flushing process has been performed with the quantity of flushing liquid appropriate for the contamination level after the use and it has been detected by said sensors that the ceramic sanitary ware has been cleaned after the flushing, the user is informed that he/she has manually activated the flushing system again despite the ceramic sanitary ware having already been cleaned.

In an embodiment where it is possible to detect the contamination level of the ceramic sanitary ware by means of the sensors and it is possible for the user to set the contamination level required for the realization of the flushing process, in case it is detected that the user manually activates the flushing system after the use whereas the contamination level required for the realization of the flushing process could be set to a level lower than the currently selected level, and in case it is detected that this circumstance is repeated, the user is informed that he/she may set the contamination level required for the realization of the flushing process to a lower value.

In a ceramic sanitary ware where the position of the toilet seat cover may be detected, in case it is detected that the user activates the flushing system while the toilet seat cover is open, the user is informed that this situation could cause the problems in terms of hygiene. In this embodiment, the invention comprises a sensor enabling to detect the position of the toilet seat cover.

In the ceramic sanitary ware providing feedback and the method of feed back according to the invention, the information may be provided to the user via an internal display and/or panel as well as via a notification to be sent to a user device connected to the network. The invention comprises at least one display in the embodiment where the information is to be provided via a display, the invention comprises at least one panel in the embodiment where the information is to be provided via a panel and the invention comprises at least one communication unit for enabling the connection of the main processing unit to the network in the embodiment where the information is to be provided via a notification to be sent to a user device connected to the network.

Owing to the feedbacks provided to a user by means of the ceramic sanitary ware providing feedback and the method of feedback according to the invention, it will be possible to enable the user to use the system more correctly, thereby enhancing the user comfort and satisfaction, and it will be also possible, as a result of the correct use, to prevent the undesired consumption of liquid and power.
