Provided is a mixing technology with which it is possible to suppress degradation of a low-priority sound and output a more natural mixed sound irrespective of the size or quality of a playback device. This mixing device for mixing a first signal and a second signal on a time-frequency plane has: a control signal generation unit which generates a control signal that indicates whether or not to perform a preferential mixing that includes amplification of the first signal and attenuation of the second signal; and a gain derivation unit which derives, on the basis of the control signal, a first gain to amplify the first signal and a second gain to attenuate the second signal. The control signal at least takes a first value and a second value different from the first value. The first value does not continue beyond a specific bandwidth on the time-frequency axis. When the control signal takes the first value, the mixing device applies the preferential mixing to the first and second signals, whereas in the case when the control signal takes the second value, the mixing device applies simple addition to the first and second signals.

L'invention concerne une technologie de mélange avec laquelle il est possible de supprimer la dégradation d'un son de faible priorité et de délivrer un son mélangé plus naturel indépendamment de la taille ou de la qualité d'un dispositif de lecture. Ce dispositif de mélange permettant de mélanger un premier signal et un second signal sur un plan temps-fréquence comporte : une unité de génération de signal de commande qui génère un signal de commande qui indique s'il faut ou non effectuer un mélange préférentiel qui comprend l'amplification du premier signal et l'atténuation du second signal ; et une unité de dérivation de gain qui dérive, sur la base du signal de commande, un premier gain pour amplifier le premier signal et un second gain pour atténuer le second signal. Le signal de commande prend au moins une première valeur et une seconde valeur différente de la première valeur. La première valeur ne continue pas au-delà d'une largeur de bande spécifique sur l'axe temps-fréquence. Lorsque le signal de commande prend la première valeur, le dispositif de mélange applique le mélange préférentiel aux premier et second signaux, tandis que dans le cas où le signal de commande prend la seconde valeur, le dispositif de mélange applique une addition simple aux premier et second signaux.
