Abstract

(EN) A method for supressing and preventing fires involving iron powder or granules in an iron storage facility, said method comprising positioning of sealed storage units containing carbon dioxide saturated zeolite powder, whose release is triggered by exposure to small amounts of heat within said iron storage facility.

(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé de suppression et de prévention d'incendies impliquant une poudre de fer ou des granules dans une installation de stockage de fer, ledit procédé comprenant le positionnement d'unités de stockage scellées contenant de la poudre de zéolite saturée de dioxyde de carbone, dont la libération est déclenchée par exposition à de petites quantités de chaleur à l'intérieur de ladite installation de stockage de fer.
