Pipelines in operation specifically the ones operating under high pressures are subject to structural deficiencies therefore, they are susceptible to leakage. The present disclosure relates to a pipeline-leak-containment apparatus (10) comprising an elongate tubular containment wall (12) and at least a first clamp (14) and a second clamp (16) sealingly engaging a section of a pipe (30) to form a sealed interstitial space between the elongate tubular containment wall and the pipe. The tubular containment wall (12) comprises an inner layer (22), a reinforcement layer (24) and an outer layer (26). Each clamp comprises an inner clamp (18), and an outer clamp (20), wherein at least the inner layer (22) at each end of the elongate tubular containment wall is sealingly sandwiched between the inner clamp and the outer clamp of each clamp. Inner and outer clamps are split clamps that sealingly engage the pipe upon tightening of fastening members.

La présente invention se rapporte à des pipelines en fonctionnement, en particulier des pipelines fonctionnant sous hautes pressions qui sont soumis à des déficiences structurelles, par conséquent, ils sont susceptibles aux fuites. La présente invention concerne un appareil (10) de confinement de fuite de pipeline comprenant une paroi (12) de confinement tubulaire allongée et au moins une première bride (14) et une seconde bride (16) venant en prise de manière étanche avec une section d'un tuyau (30) pour former un espace interstitiel étanche entre la paroi de confinement tubulaire allongée et le tuyau. La paroi (12) de confinement tubulaire allongée comprend une couche interne (22), une couche (24) de renforcement et une couche externe (26). Chaque bride comprend une bride interne (18), et une bride externe (20), au moins la couche interne (22) à chaque extrémité de la paroi de confinement tubulaire allongée étant prise en sandwich de façon étanche entre la bride interne et la bride externe de chaque bride. Les brides internes et externes sont des bides fendues qui viennent en prise de manière étanche avec le tuyau lors du serrage des éléments de fixation.
