CLAIMS

1 ) Machine (3) suited to process the sliding surface (2) of a ski (1), comprising:

- a grinding wheel (4) laterally delimited by a cylindrical surface (5) that defines a longitudinal axis (X);

- first driving means suited to set said grinding wheel (4) rotating around said longitudinal axis (X);

- a guide unit (7) for said ski (1), configured so as to move said ski (1) according to an advance direction (Y) parallel to the longitudinal direction of development of said ski (1) and incident on said longitudinal axis (X) maintaining said sliding surface (2) in contact with said grinding wheel (4);

- a tool (8) suited to be placed in contact with said grinding wheel (4) that is set rotating, in such a way as to impress a groove on said cylindrical surface (5);

- second power means suited to move said tool (8) according to a direction of movement (Z) parallel to said longitudinal axis (X);

- a logic control unit configured so as to operate said first power means and said second power means in such a way as to move said tool (8) according to said direction of movement (Z) depending on the rotation angle of said grinding wheel (4),

characterized in that:

- said second power means are configured so as to vary the processing depth of said tool (8);

- said logic control unit is configured so as to operate said second power means in such a way as to vary said processing depth according to the rotation angle of said grinding wheel (4).

2) Machine (3) according to claim 1), characterized in that said logic control unit is configured so as to increase said processing depth as the tool (8) proceeds from the mid plane of said grinding wheel (4) towards each side of said grinding wheel (4).

3) Machine (3) according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that said first power means and said second power means are brushless electric motors.

4) Machine (3) according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that said guide unit (7) comprises a driving wheel (10) facing said grinding wheel (4), suited to be positioned against said ski (1) on the opposite side with respect to said sliding surface (2).

5) Machine (3) according to claim 4), characterized in that said driving wheel (10) is associated with third power means suited to set said driving wheel (10) rotating in such a way as to move said ski (1) along said advance direction (Y) at a predefined speed.

6) Machine (3) according to claim 5), characterized in that said driving wheel (10) is associated with thrust means suited to thrust said driving wheel (10) against said ski (1) with a varying thrust force, said logic control unit being configured so that it operates said thrust means in such a way as to vary said thrust force according to the rotation angle of said driving wheel (10).

7) Grinding wheel (4) suited to process the sliding surface (2) of a ski (1), laterally delimited by a cylindrical surface (5) that defines a longitudinal axis (X) and comprises a plurality of ridges mainly developed according to corresponding helical trajectories around said longitudinal axis (X), characterized in that the maximum height of said ridges varies according to the position of said ridges along said longitudinal axis (X).

8) Ski (1) comprising a sliding surface (2) suited to be placed in contact with the snow and provided with a plurality of mutually parallel grooves (13) mainly developed according to the longitudinal direction of development of said ski (1), characterized in that said grooves (13) have corresponding maximum depths different from one another.

9) Ski (1) according to claim 8), characterized in that among said grooves (13) it is possible to identify a first plurality of grooves (13) all having the same first maximum depth and a second plurality of grooves (13) all having the same second maximum depth, said first maximum depth being different from said second maximum depth.

10) Ski (1) according to claim 9), characterized in that among said grooves (13) it is possible to identify a third plurality of grooves ( 3), all having the same third maximum depth different from said first and second maximum depths.

11) Ski (1) according to any of the claims from 8) to 10), characterized in that said maximum depths of said grooves (13) vary depending on the position of said grooves (13) according to a direction (W) orthogonal to said longitudinal direction of development.

12) Ski (1) according to claim 11), characterized in that said maximum depths increase along said orthogonal direction (W) from the centre area of said sliding surface (2) towards the sides (2a, 2b) of said sliding surface (2).

13) Ski (1) according to any of the claims from 8) to 12), characterized in that said maximum depths are less than 1 mm.

14) Ski (1) according to claim 13), characterized in that said maximum depths are included between 1 micron and 200 microns.
