Abstract
(EN) An entrainment-based filtering system for use in connection with a facemask or respirator that includes: a filter housing defining an interior volume comprising at least one airflow pathway having an airflow pathway length that is longer than the length of the interior volume and spaced within the interior volume; and a plurality of entrainment substrates. The plurality of entrainment substrates is positioned within the at least one airflow pathway and the plurality of substrates and the dimensions of the at least one airflow pathway together function to entrain particles on the surface of the chemically coated entrainment substrates and prevent at least 95% of particles traveling through the at least one airflow pathway from exiting the entrainment-based filter.
(FR) L'invention concerne un système de filtration à base d'entraînement destiné à être utilisé en association avec un masque facial ou un respirateur comprenant: un boîtier de filtre définissant un volume intérieur comportant au moins un trajet d'écoulement d'air ayant une longueur de trajet d'écoulement d'air qui est plus long que la longueur du volume intérieur et espacé dans le volume intérieur; et une pluralité de substrats d'entraînement. La pluralité de substrats d'entraînement est positionnée à l'intérieur dudit au moins un trajet d'écoulement d'air et de la pluralité de substrats et les dimensions dudit au moins un trajet d'écoulement d'air fonctionnent conjointement pour entraîner des particules sur la surface des substrats d'entraînement revêtus chimiquement et empêcher au moins 95% des particules se déplaçant à travers ledit moins un trajet d'écoulement d'air de sortir du filtre à base d'entraînement.
