Abstract
(EN) A method is disclosed for radiaiiy profiling shear velocities of flexural wave modes in a formation. The method includes establishing sensitivity kernels with two non-dimensionalized parameters and using said sensitivity kernels to perform an inversion for radial shear wave velocity profiles. This method may be used for LWD, MWD, or wireline logging operations.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé de profilage radial de vitesses de cisaillement de modes d'ondes de flexion dans une formation. Le procédé selon l'invention consiste à établir des noyaux de sensibilité avec deux paramètres non dimensionnalisés et à utiliser lesdits noyaux de sensibilité pour effectuer une inversion de profils de vitesses d'ondes de cisaillement radiales. Le procédé selon l'invention peut être mis en oeuvre pour des opérations de diagraphie en cours de forage (LWD), de mesure en cours de forage (MWD) ou de diagraphie par câble.
