The invention discloses a photonic crystal composite color film, a manufacturing method thereof and a color filter substrate. The composite color film comprises an optical channel layer and a quantumdot material layer, wherein the optical channel layer comprises a first photonic crystal layer and a second photonic crystal layer overlapped with the first photonic crystal layer in an up-down direction; the optical channel layer comprises optical channel units which are arranged like an array; in each optical channel unit, a photonic band gap of the first photonic crystal layer is different froma photonic band gap of the second photonic crystal layer; through the combination of the photonic band gaps of the first and second photonic crystal layers, only red light and green light or blue light are allowed to pass through the optical channel units; the quantum dot material layer is arranged on one side of the optical channel layer, and comprises a red light quantum dot stimulation material area and a green light quantum dot stimulation material area, which are arranged like an array; and the red light quantum dot stimulation material area and the green light quantum dot stimulation material area respectively correspond to a red light channel unit and a green light channel unit in the optical channel layer. According to the composite color film, the using of blue quantum dot material is decreased, the cost is reduced and the transmission rate of the color film can be remarkably improved.

本申请公开了一种光子晶体复合彩膜及其制作方法、彩色滤光基板,复合彩膜包括:光通道层,包括上下相叠的第一光子晶体层和第二光子晶体层,其包括阵列排布的光通道单元,在各光通道单元中,第一光子晶体层的光子禁带与第二光子晶体层的光子禁带不同,第一光子晶体层与第二光子晶体层的光子禁带的组合使得仅允许红光、绿光或蓝光通过光通道单元;以及量子点材料层,其设置在光通道层的一侧,包括阵列排布的红光量子点激发材料区域和绿光量子点激发材料区域,它们分别和光通道层中的红光通道单元和绿光通道单元相对应。根据本申请实施例的复合彩膜,减少了蓝色量子点材料的使用,降低成本,可显著提高彩膜的透过率。
