La présente invention concerne un procédé de traitement de face d'extrémité de plaque de verre comprenant : une étape préparatoire S1 destinée à préparer un sous-ensemble (25) qui est formé d'une bride de fixation de pierre à aiguiser (20) et d'une pierre à aiguiser (11 (12)), dans laquelle la vibration statique est d'au plus 40 µm et l'équilibre dynamique est d'au plus 50 g·mm ; et une étape de traitement de face d'extrémité S3 destinée à effectuer un traitement prescrit sur une face d'extrémité (2) d'une plaque de verre (1) après fixation du sous-ensemble (25) à une broche (19).

本発明に係るガラス板の端面加工方法は、静的振れが40μm以下で、かつ動バランスが50g・mm以下である砥石11(12)と砥石取付け用フランジ20とのサブアセンブリ25を準備する準備工程S1と、サブアセンブリ25をスピンドル19に取り付けて、ガラス板1の端面2に所定の加工を施す端面加工工程S3とを備える。
