Abstract
(EN)

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent production of glass powder from an end surface to the utmost by improving the end surface property of a glass plate.

SOLUTION: An end surface processing method for a glass plate according to the present invention includes: a preparation step S1 of preparing a subassembly 25 for a grindstone 11 (12) with a static run-out of 40 μm or less and a dynamic balance 50 g mm or less and a flange 20 for attaching the grindstone; and an end surface processing step S3 of applying predetermined processing to an end surface 2 of the glass plate 1 by attaching the subassembly 25 to a spindle 19.

【課題】ガラス板の端面性状を改善することにより、端面からのガラス粉の発生を可及的に防止する。
【解決手段】本発明に係るガラス板の端面加工方法は、静的振れが40μm以下で、かつ動バランスが50g・mm以下である砥石11(12)と砥石取付け用フランジ20とのサブアセンブリ25を準備する準備工程S1と、サブアセンブリ25をスピンドル19に取り付けて、ガラス板1の端面2に所定の加工を施す端面加工工程S3とを備える。
