PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cold rolling mill chattering detection method by which predictive vibration of chattering is detected, and trouble due to chattering can be previously prevented, a cold rolling mill chattering detection device, a cold rolling method, and a cold rolling mill.

SOLUTION: A cold rolling mill chattering detection method includes: a measurement step at which vibration of a cold rolling mill is measured; a calculation step at which frequency analysis is executed for time waveform of vibration measured at the measurement step at a prescribed cycle which is equal to or less than a time in which periodic vibration continues without converging, thereby calculating time waveform of vibration strength; and a predictive vibration determination step at which predictive vibration of a cold rolling mill chattering is detected on the basis of the number of points where the vibration strength included in the calculated vibration intensity time waveform of vibration strength calculated at the calculation step is greater than a prescribed threshold.

【課題】チャタリングの予兆振動を検出してチャタリングによるトラブルを未然に防ぐことが可能な冷間圧延機のチャタリング検出方法、冷間圧延機のチャタリング検出装置、冷間圧延方法、及び冷間圧延機を提供すること。
【解決手段】本発明に係る冷間圧延機のチャタリング検出方法は、冷間圧延機の振動を測定する測定ステップと、測定ステップにおいて測定された振動の時間波形に対して、周期的な振動が収束せずに継続する時間と同等以下の所定周期で周波数解析を実行することにより、振動強度の時間波形を算出する算出ステップと、算出ステップにおいて算出された振動強度の時間波形に含まれる振動強度が所定の閾値より大きい点の数に基づいて、冷間圧延機のチャタリングの予兆振動を検出する予兆振動判定ステップと、を含む。
