Abstract
(EN) A service outlet floor box including a frame 1 and a connector module 2 detachably secured to the frame within the floor box, the connector module including a casing of generally hollow cuboidal shape, wherein the casing comprises a first part (8, 9, fig.2) including the top of the casing which mounts a connector unit that presents an upwardly facing connection facility, which may be a socket 14, to which connection can be made during use of the floor box, and a second part (7, fig.2) including the bottom of the casing, the first and second parts of the casing being separable from one another. The second part of the housing may include a bottom and a pair of opposite walls. Removal of the second half of the casing provides easier access for wiring. Both parts of the casing may have holes to allow a cable to pass through into the interior of the casing. The connector module may have a sliding catch 18 biased into an extended position to secure the connector module in the frame at one of a plurality of different depths by means of cooperating slots 5 in the frame. A plurality of connectors modules each having a plurality of sockets may be provided.
