PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a client to dispense with the setting and canceling operation of an automatic answering mode for improving operability and reliability in the automatic answering mode, and to enable the client to recognize the presence or absence of a massage recorded reliably while the client leaves his or her seat.

SOLUTION: Pressure sensors 8l-8n are provided in seats 61-6n of the client, and the detection signal is transmitted to an answering server 2 from radio transmitters 9l-9n via a radio sensor network access point 7 for determining whether the client leaves/takes his or her seat. The automatic answering mode is set and canceled according to the determined result for indicating whether the client left/took his or her seat. When the message is recorded while the client leaves his or her seat, message-keeping information is transmitted to corresponding client terminals 4l-4n from the answering server 2, and is read for display after the client takes his or her seat.

【課題】クライアントによる留守応答モードの設定及び解除操作を不要にして操作性及び留守応答モードの信頼性向上を図り、かつ離席期間中に記録された伝言メッセージの有無をクライアントが確実に認識できるようにする。
【解決手段】クライアントの椅子61〜6nに感圧センサ81〜8nを設け、その検出信号を無線送信機91〜9nから無線センサネットワークアクセスポイント7を介して応答サーバ2に送り、クライアントの離席/帰席を判定する。そして、この離席及び帰席の判定結果に応じてそれぞれ留守応答モードの設定及びその解除を行う。また、離席期間中に伝言メッセージが記録された場合に、伝言保有情報を応答サーバ2から該当するクライアント端末41〜4nに送り、クライアントの帰席後に読み出して表示する。
