Provided are a connection management mechanism and a connection management method with which computer bus connections can be managed such that failures and freezes do not occur in a computer system when delays and packet losses occur. A connection management unit, which is used in computer bus communication in which packets are transmitted between a request source and a request destination, has a dummy return packet generation/transmission function wherein a dummy return packet is generated and is transmitted to the request source when a delay or loss occurs in a return packet transmitted from the request destination, and/or a filter function wherein, after transmission of the dummy return packet, a legitimate return packet arriving from the request destination is discarded.

L'invention concerne un mécanisme de gestion de connexion et un procédé de gestion de connexion avec lesquels des connexions de bus informatiques peuvent être gérées de telle sorte que des défaillances et des gels ne se produisent pas dans un système informatique lorsque des retards et des pertes de paquets se produisent. Une unité de gestion de connexion, qui est utilisée dans une communication de bus informatique dans laquelle des paquets sont transmis entre une source de requête et une destination de requête, a une fonction de génération/transmission de paquet de retour factice, un paquet de retour factice étant généré et étant transmis à la source de requête lorsqu'un retard ou une perte se produit dans un paquet de retour transmis à partir de la destination de requête, et/ou une fonction de filtre, après transmission du paquet de retour factice, un paquet de retour légitime arrivant de la destination de requête étant rejeté.

遅延やパケットロスが発生した際にコンピュータシステムに障害またはフリーズを発生させないように、コンピュータバスのコネクション管理を行うコネクション管理機構およびコネクション管理方法を提供する。コネクション管理ユニットは、リクエスト元とリクエスト先との間でパケットを送信するコンピュータバスの通信に用いられるコネクション管理ユニットであって、上記リクエスト先から送信される返信パケットに遅延またはロスが発生した場合、ダミーの返信パケットを生成し上記リクエスト元へ送信するダミー返信パケット生成送信機能およびまたは、上記ダミーの返信パケットの送信後に上記リクエスト先から届いた正規の返信パケットを破棄するフィルタ機能、を有する。
