The present invention relates to water-absorbent resin particles, a sanitary article including the same, and a method for treating the sanitary article, the water-absorbent resin particles containing a cross-linked polymer (A) having, as essential constituent units: a water-soluble vinyl monomer (a1) and/or a vinyl monomer (a2) which becomes the water-soluble vinyl monomer (a1) through hydrolysis; and an internal cross-linking agent (b), wherein the water separation ratio represented by the following equation is 70% or more.
