(57) Abstract:
(EN): Provided is an alkali-free glass which has a low compaction, a high strain point, and a high ultraviolet light transmittance, and is easy to melt. The alkali-free glass is characterized by containing, in mol% on an oxide basis, 65-75 of SiO2, 9-15 of Al2O3, 0-3 of B2O3, 0-12 of MgO, 0-8 of CaO, 0-6 of SrO, and 0-5 of BaO, wherein MgO + CaO + SrO + BaO is 12-22, 4.84[Fe2O3] + 5.65[Na2O] + 4.03[K2O] + 4.55[SnO2] is 0.55 or less, and a measured compaction is 80 ppm or less.
