(57) Abstract:
(EN): The present invention provides a compact intake manifold that easily and reliably holds a flame damper on a base member. To this end, a base member (21) into which a flame arrester (25) is incorporated comprises a recessed body (31) and an annular fitting/holding section (32) to which the flame arrester (25) is fit in the axial direction. The fitting/holding section (32) comprises an abutment surface (32a) and an inner circumferential fitting wall surface (32b). The flame arrester (25) is configured from a flame-inhibiting structure (26), an outer cylinder (27) surrounding the flame-inhibiting structure (26), and an elastic holder member (51) that covers the outer circumferential surface and both end surfaces of the outer cylinder (27). The elastic holder member (51) comprises an outer circumferential fitting section (52) that tightly adheres to the outer cylinder (27) and that is fit to the fitting/holding section (32). The outer circumferential fitting section (52) comprises a cylindrical wall part (52h) and a plurality of annular seal lips (52a, 52b, 52c) that are separated from each other and that protrude radially outward and to one side in the axial direction from the outer circumferential surface (52e) of the cylindrical wall part (52h).
