The invention relates to a valve device for controlling a bypass (24), such as a turbine (12) of an exhaust-gas turbocharger including a valve disc (12) for opening and closing a bypass opening (28) of a turbine (12) surrounded by a valve seat (34); a mandrel (62) that protrudes on a rear side (54) of the valve disc (32); and an adjusting lever (36) for pivoting the valve disc (32) and connected with the mandrel (62). The adjusting lever (36) has a through opening (64) that is pierced by the mandrel (62). The through opening is radially limited (64) by an interior surface (64) of the adjusting lever (36). At least one spring element (72) is arranged in the through opening (64) and subjects the mandrel (62) to a radial force.
