Kolbenring, mit einem Grundkörper, der eine mit einer Kammerung (6,6') versehene Lauffläche (2), eine obere (3) und eine untere (4) Flankenfläche sowie eine innere Umfangsf lache (5) aufweist, wobei zumindest die Kammerung mit mindestens einer Verschleißschutzschicht (7,7') versehen ist und auf der Lauffläche zumindest partiell eine PVD-Deckschicht (8,8') aufgebracht ist, dergestalt, dass der Grundkörper in seinem fertigen Zustand lediglich randbereichsseitig (9, 10, 9', 10' ), d. h. außerhalb der Kammerung, die PVD-Deckschicht aufweist.

The invention relates to a piston ring, having a base body, which comprises a running surface (2) provided with a chamber (6,6'), an upper (3) and a lower (4) flank surface, and an inner circumferential surface (5), wherein at least the chamber is provided with at least one wear protection layer (7,7'), and a PVD cover layer (8,8') is applied to the running surface at least in some regions such that the base body has the PVD cover layer only in the edge regions (9, 10, 9', 10' ), which is to say outside of the chamber, in the finished state.

Segment de piston avec un corps de base qui présente une face de portée (2) pourvue d'une chambre (6, 6'), une face de flanc supérieure (3), une face de flanc inférieure (4) et une face périphérique intérieure (5). Au moins la chambre est pourvue d'une couche (7, 7') de protection contre l'usure. De plus, une couche de recouvrement (8, 8') déposée en phase gazeuse est appliquée au moins partiellement sur la face de portée de telle sorte que le corps de base, dans l'état achevé, présente la couche de recouvrement uniquement dans les régions de bords (9, 10, 9', 10'), c'est-à-dire en dehors de la chambre.
