Die Erfindung betrifft einen Segmentverdränger (10). Der Segmentverdränger (10) weist ein Gehäuse (12) auf, in dem sich ein zylinderförmiger Hohlkörper (20) befindet. Dieser bildet eine Zylinderkammer. Eine Rotationsachse (28) ist in dem Gehäuse (12) drehbar gelagert. Es sind ferner Verdrängerelemente (30, 32, 34, 36) vorgesehen, welche radial an der Rotationsachse (28) angeordnet sind. Der zylinderförmige Hohlkörper (20) umschließt axial die Rotationsachse (28) mit den Verdrängerelementen (30, 32, 34, 36). Die Verdrängerelemente (30, 32, 34, 36) unterteilen den Raum zwischen der Zylinderwand und Rotationsachse in Raumsegmente (50, 52, 54, 56). Die Raumsegmente sind für sich dadurch abgedichtet.
