The invention relates to a method for operating an electrohydraulic transmission clutch (2) of a motor vehicle (1). A hydraulic pressure (P) is set during a clutch process (32) by means of a regulating device (22) of a controller (7) on the basis of a clutch signal (6), and a disengagement element (12) of the transmission clutch (2) is moved by the pressure (P) through a soft region (17) into a rigid region (18) via a rigid point (21) or vice versa. The soft region (17) is to be compensated. According to the invention, the regulating device (22) generates a preliminary target value signal (Psoll) for the pressure (P) on the basis of the clutch signal (6), and a time derivative (26) of the preliminary target value signal (Psoll) is generated as a movement signal (26). A pilot control (23) generates a pilot control signal (V) on the basis of the movement signal (26), and the preliminary target value signal (Psoll) and the pilot control signal (V) are combined in order to form a final actuating value signal (Psoll*) for the pressure (P).
