Claims
1.  Measuring device having a protective cover and a sensor arranged in the protective cover, characterized in that the protective cover has a carrier tube closed on one side and made of metal, on whose outer surface a coating made of an aluminum non-wettable material is arranged, and that another layer made of an aluminum-wettable material is deposited on this coating.
2.  Measuring device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the sensor is a temperature sensor.
3.  Measuring device according to Claim I or 2, characterized in that the carrier tube is formed from titanium or martensitic or ferritic stainless steel.
4.  Measuring device according to one of Claims I to 3, characterized in that the aluminum non wettable material is formed essentially from one or more oxides.
5.  Measuring device according to Claim 4, characterized in that the aluminum non-wettable material is formed essentially from aluminum oxide or magnesium oxide or a mixture thereof.
6.  Measuring device according to one of Claims I to 5, characterized in that the aluminum non wettable material is an insulator or electron conductor.

7.  Measuring device according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the aluminum wettable material is formed essentially from at least one transition metal boride.
8.  Measuring device according to Claim 7, characterized in that the aluminum-wettable material is formed essentially from a boride of the group TiB2, ZrB 2, Hf3 2, or from a mixture thereof.
9.  Measuring device according to one of Claims I to 8, characterized in that the aluminum wettable material is coated with a metal.
10.  Measuring device according to Claim 9, characterized in that the aluminum-wettable material is coated with aluminum.
11.  Measuring device according to one of Claims I to 10, characterized in that the thickness of the individual coatings equals 50 to 1000 tm.
12.  Measuring device according to one of Claims 2 to 11, characterized in that the temperature sensor is a thermocouple.
13.  Measuring device according to one of Claims I to 12, characterized in that the protective cover, preferably the interior of the carrier tube, is connected to a cooling-gas source.
14.  Melting device, in particular for the production of aluminum, having a melt container which has at least one busbar and a measuring device according to one of Claims I to 13, characterized

in that the aluminum-wettable material of the measuring device is connected by a connection cable in an electrically conductive way to at least one busbar.
15.  Use of a measuring device according to one of Claims I to 13 for measurement in cryolite and/or aluminum melts.
