PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an amorphous nitrided carbon film superior in electrical conductivity, corrosion resistance and adhesiveness.

SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a composite of an amorphous nitrided carbon film with a substrate having an amorphous nitrided carbon film with high conductivity thereon, comprises (1) immersing a substrate in methane gas plasma in a vacuum chamber, irradiating the substrate with positive ions in the plasma, and forming an ion-implanted layer in a surface layer; (2) introducing a mixed gas of hydrocarbon and nitrogen to the vacuum chamber, generating the plasma, depositing the radicals on the substrate, applying a negative voltage to the substrate, and irradiating the substrate with the accelerated positive ions; (3) at the same time, applying a high-voltage positive pulse (0.5 to 15 kV) to the substrate, and irradiating the substrate with electrons in the plasma, to activate only the surface layer with the pulse and convert it into a high-temperature state; and (4) depositing the radicals and ions of hydrocarbon and nitrogen on the substrate by the steps described above.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of reflection of a mount part on a print or omission of a picture, which is caused by variance of the range of an aperture formed in the mount.

SOLUTION: A range larger than an aperture 8a formed in a mount 8 is prescanned by a C line sensor 108 on the basis of control of a prescanning control part 111. The range of the aperture formed in the mount 8 is automatically recognized by a scanning range setting part 112 on the basis of image data obtained by prescanning. Only the range of the aperture formed in the mount 8 is scanned on the basis of control of a scanning control part 113, and image data obtained by scanning is processed by a picture processing part 114 and is exposed on a photographic paper by a print head 109.

A ruthenium-carrying alumina is useful as a catalyst for use in contacting an alcohol with molecular oxygen to oxidize the alcohol, and can be used for oxidizing an alcohol at an enhanced conversion and producing a ketone, an aldehyde, a carboxylic acid and the like with improved productivity.
