The steam cooking method achieving steaming-and-eating is characterized in that high-temperature steam is sprayed into a food steaming space from top to bottom through a steam sprayer arranged in a steam protective cover, the high-temperature steam acts on food in the food steaming space, and accordingly the food can be heated through the high-temperature steam. By the adoption of the method, steam sprayed from the steam sprayer is not blocked and directly acts on the food, so that temperature attenuation of the steam is little, food steaming efficiency is improved, and cooking speed of food is relatively high. Flowing of the steam sprayed downwards by the steam sprayer is uniform, and accordingly temperature uniformity in a steaming plate is good.
