What is claimed is:

1. A food preparation device comprising :

a cooking surface;

a manipulator;

a camera;

a processor to:

detect one or more food items being cooked on the cooking surface;

determine one or more cooking attributes of the one or more food items being cooked on the cooking surface; and

control the manipulator to perform one or more cooking operations based at least in part on the one or more cooking

attributes.

2. The food preparation device of claim 1, wherein determining the one or more cooking attributes of the one or more cooking items being cooked on the cooking surface includes determining an attribute value of each cooking attribute of the one or more cooking attributes for each food item of the one or more food items being cooked on the cooking surface.

3. The food preparation device of claim 2, wherein the processor is further to:

monitor the one or more cooking attributes of the one or more food items being cooked on the cooking surface, in response to the detection of the one or more food items.

4. The food preparation device of claim 3, wherein the monitoring of the one or more cooking attributes of the one or more food items being cooked on the cooking surface, includes monitoring a change in the attribute value of each cooking attribute for each cooking item, wherein the processor further bases the control of the manipulator to perform one or more cooking operations on the change in the attribute value of each cooking item.

5. The food preparation device of claim 4, wherein the processor is further to:

track a position of each food item of the one or more food items being cooked on the cooking surface, wherein the processor further bases the control of the manipulator to perform one or more cooking operations on the position of each food item being cooked on the cooking surface and the change in the attribute value of each cooking item.

6. The food preparation device of claim 1, wherein the processor is further to:

track a position of each food item of the one or more food items being cooked on the cooking surface, wherein the processor further bases the control of the manipulator to perform one or more cooking operations on the position of each food item being cooked on the cooking surface.

7. The food preparation device of claim 1, further comprising :

a temperature sensor to generate temperature data of the one or more food items being cooked on the cooking surface, wherein the processor further bases the control of the manipulator to perform one or more cooking operators on the temperature data .

8. The food preparation device of claim 1, wherein the processor is further to:

obtain a recipe; and

based on the recipe, determine one or more food items, a time of cooking for the one or more food items, one or more ideal cooking

temperatures for the one or more food items and one or more classifiers associated with the one or more food items.

9. The food preparation device of claim 8, wherein the processor is further to:

obtain one or more images of the cooking surface from the camera, the one or more images including at an image of one or more food items being cooked on the cooking surface;

utilize the one or more images when performing image recognition to detect one or more cooking attributes of the one or more food items being cooked on the cooking surface; and

select a classifier of the one or more classifiers to associate with each food item of the one or more food items detected from the one or more images.

10. The food preparation device of claim 1, wherein the processor performs image recognition on one or more food items being cooked on the cooking surface to further monitor position and shape of the one or more food items.

11. The food preparation device of claim 1, wherein the one or more cooking operations includes stirring of the manipulator, a frequency of the stirring of the manipulator, and vertical positioning of the one or more food items by the manipulator.

12. The food preparation device of claim 1, wherein the one or more cooking attributes include at least one of a color, shape or texture of each of the one or more food items.

13. The food preparation device of claim 1, wherein the camera obtains one or more images of the cooking surface, and wherein the processor detects the one or more food items being cooked by performing image recognition on the one or more images.

14. A method for a food preparation device, comprising :

detecting one or more food ingredients being cooked on a cooking surface;

determining one or more cooking attributes of the one or more food ingredients being cooked on the cooking surface; and

control a manipulator to perform one or more cooking operations based at least in part on the one or more cooking attributes.

15. The method of claim 14, wherein determining the one or more cooking attributes of the one or more cooking ingredients being cooked on the cooking surface includes determining an attribute value of each cooking attribute of the one or more cooking attributes for each cooking item of the one or more food ingredients being cooked on the cooking surface.

16. The method of claim 14, further comprising :

monitoring the one or more cooking attributes of the one or more food ingredients being cooked on the cooking surface, in response to the detection of the one or more food ingredients.

17. The method of claim 16, wherein the monitoring of the one or more cooking attributes of the one or more food items being cooked on the cooking surface, includes monitoring a change in the attribute value of each cooking attribute for each cooking item, wherein the control of the manipulator to perform one or more cooking operations is further based on the change in the attribute value of each cooking item.

18. The method of claim 17, further comprising :

tracking a position of each food ingredient being cooked on the cooking surface, wherein the control of the manipulator to perform one or more cooking operations is further based on the position of each food ingredient being cooked on the cooking surface and the change in the attribute value of each cooking ingredient.

19. The method of claim 14, further comprising :

tracking a position of each food item of the one or more food items being cooked on the cooking surface, wherein the control of the manipulator to perform one or more cooking operations is further based on the position of each food item being cooked on the cooking surface.

20. The method of claim 14, further comprising :

obtaining one or more images of the cooking surface, wherein detecting the one or more food ingredients being cooked on the cooking surface is based on the one or more images of the cooking surface.
