Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a food product having a texture close to that of rice. This food product is housed in a container in a state in which a rice-like granular material and a fluid containing oil and water are mixed together, wherein the rice-like granular material contains starch, dextrin, a gelling agent, and a clouding agent, the water content of the rice-like granular material is 65 mass% to 80 mass% inclusive, and the change in the water content from before and after the food product is stored at 8°C for 24 hours is no more than 3.0 mass%.
