Abstract:
An exchange module for use in an analysis device for near-patient detecting of compounds in a blood sample is disclosed and claimed. A hollow fibre membrane module comprises a hollow fibre suitable for flow field-flow fractionation, using which, a blood sample that flows in together with a solvent can be separated into different fractions. A reactor-detector unit comprises a reservoir for a detection solution, a bubble-train reactor and a detection zone. The hollow fibre and the reservoir for a detection solution are connected to the bubble train reactor and the detection zone, in such a way that the blood sample separated into fractions in the hollow fibre membrane module, flows together with a detection solution through the bubble-train reactor to a detection zone in which a concentration of a compound in the blood sample can be verified by means of a detection unit, wherein the detection unit is arranged in an analysis device in which the exchange module is used. An analysis device, a system consisting of an analysis device and an exchange module, and a method for near-patient detection of compounds in a blood sample are also claimed.
