The surfactant proof coating may be applied while the pulp object is retained on the mould tool (2) or while the pulp object is held on the transfer tool (14), or when the pulp object is located on the drying conveyor (18).

A focusing lens and a collimating lens are located within the lens case. The focusing lens is shaped to control the divergence of a laser beam and the collimating lens is shaped to fix the diameter of the laser beam. A jet fluid path is located in the annular passage, the jet fluid path shaped to merge jet fluid with the laser beam. The outer tool housing has a frusto-conical tip for directing the combined jet fluid and laser beam to the stress region.

The attachment part (5) holds the first apparatus body (11) in a manner such that the insertion ports (1c) are exposed at the outer surface (10aa) of the wiring fixture (10) and holds the second apparatus body (21) in a manner such that the handle (2d) is exposed at the outer surface (10aa) of the wiring fixture (10).
