The present invention concerns a method of controlling an open-die forging system (1) comprising at least one actuator (2, 3) for forging a blank (4), to define a workpiece with the required dimensions by an operation sequence (OS) of operation steps for processing said blank (4), the method comprising the steps of: - generating, for each operation step, respective intermediate end dimensions that the blank (4) is required to have at the end of each operation step; - iteratively repeating, for each operation step of said operation sequence (OS), the following steps: - detecting said blank (4) using at least one electromagnetic infrared radiation detection means (8), and generating a dimensional map (Ml) of the blank (4), by analyzing said electromagnetic radiation received by said detection means (8); - estimating the dimensions of said blank (4), using an artificial intelligence system (10), as a function of parameters included in said dimensional map (Ml) and further preset parameters (PGI) in said artificial intelligence system (10), to define estimated dimensions of said blank (4); - determining a reference deviation map (E), as a difference between the estimated dimensions of the blank (4) and the intermediate end dimensions required by the operation step; - adapting said artificial intelligence system (10) as an error function that is designed to reduce said deviation map (E) and determine at least one control signal (Inl, In2) to control said at least one actuator (2, 3).

Each roofing element (1) is constituted by a profiled element that comprises a first surface (2), arranged downward in the assembly configuration, which is slightly concave in a transverse direction, and a second surface (3), arranged upward in the assembly configuration, that has a substantially flat part (4) extending from a first longitudinal edge (5) to the vicinity of the centerline with an end side thereof. The roofing element (1) furthermore comprises at least one first inclined laminar portion (6), associated with the end side of the part (4), at least one second inclined laminar portion (8), which is consecutive to the first one (6) and recessed with respect to it, at least one protruding lip (9) that is consecutive to the second laminar portion (8) and whose end edge (10) is substantially aligned with the substantially flat part (4). The at least one first portion (6), the at least one second portion (8) and the at least one lip (9) form a channel (11) for the collection and flow of rainwater.

A suturing thread (F) has a structure that differs from that of known suturing threads in so far as it is bi-directional in the sense that it can be introduced into tissues in one direction or the other, is free to fluctuate (i.e. it is without anchorage points) and is provided with sequences of inclined protuberances or spines (S) that have the peculiarity of being alternately divergent, the spines of one sequence being oriented in directions opposite to those of the adjacent sequences. Said spines are present throughout the length of the thread but absent at the midpoint of the suture and at the end areas of the thread itself. In a first embodiment, the arrangement of the spines along the thread is such that the spines of one sequence are on the side of the thread diametrally opposite to where the spines of the adjacent sequences are arranged; i.e., they are set at an angular distance of 180° with respect to the spines of the other adjacent sequences.
