The invention relates to heat power engineering and can be used for regenerative rotating air heaters. The inventive heat exchange filler for a regenerative air heater comprises stacks of cold and hot layers, each of said layers consists of a frame and alternating filling and distancing shaped metal sheets placed therein. All the filling sheets are shaped in the form of a wave, the crests of which throughout the height of the sheet are positioned at an angle of 30° to the aerodynamic flow. In addition to the same waves, all the distancing sheets have corrugations which are distant from each other and are in the form of a higher wave positioned in parallel to the aerodynamic flow. The frame comprises side and end walls in the form of solid sheets. The shape of the sheets of the cold and hot layers have the specified parameters. The invention makes it possible to increase the heat exchange capacity of the filler.
