|PCT/IS2013/050005||WTE WASTE TO ENERGY CANADA, INC||EINARSSON, Fridfinnur|
The invention relates to a two stage process for the thermal treatment of wastes consisting of a batch gasification process followed by a syngas combustion process. A system and method are provided comprising of one or more first process stage batch gasification chambers (1) which are connected to a common second process stage chamber, the syngas combustion chamber, or alternatively a syngas conditioning chamber (13) and afterwards a combustion of the syngas in either a combustion chamber, reciprocating engine, boiler, gas turbine or an internal combustion device. The process can also be used to process biomass and fuels by gasification. The gasification chamber (1) has separated nozzle areas corresponding to plenum sections of the bottom where a mixture of air and recirculated flue-gas (8) is blown under the combustible material. Flue gas flow is regulated by varying the production of syngas in the gasification chambers (1) by a feedback signal from devices such as draught sensors, thermocouples, fan speeds indicators, steam flow meters, oxygen concentration meters and power production indicators.

|PCT/IS2013/050002||HAFBOR EHF.||ERLINGSSON, Hilmar|
The present invention relates to a device and system for embedding anchor into the seabed, and in particular, but not limited, to embedding anchor for buoy for shellfish growth lines. According to the first aspect of the present invention there is provided a seabed anchor embedding device, comprising a retrievable base frame assembly, adapted to be mounted on the seabed, an anchor, means for lowering said base frame assembly from a vessel through a body of water into a mounting position at the seabed and for retrieving said frame assembly after said anchor has been embedded.

|PCT/IS2012/050017||HAMPIDJAN HF.||SAFWAT, Sherif|
The present disclosure provides a rope (35) having a braided sheath (398) that forms the coverbraid about a strength member core (37), said rope (35) being suitable for forming mesh in pelagic trawls, wherein at the outside of the braided sheath (398) a spiraling elongate element (36), e.g. a strand or an extruded elongate element, is provided, said spiraling elongate element (36) having a greater pitch in comparison to a pitch exhibited by other strands (397) forming the braided sheath (398). The rope (35) is stronger for a given amount of material, has lesser drag, is capable of exhibiting same or improved lift when subjected to water flow at trawl mesh angles of attack, while also being less costly to manufacture, in comparison to known helix rope constructions wherein the pitches are equal.

|PCT/IS2013/050001||CONTROLANT EHF.||HERJOLFSSON, Gisli|
The present invention provides a system and method for automatic valuation of the quality of a shipment process in terms of environment conditions and in terms of logistics. The system and method performs automatic statistical analysis on the collected data to facilitate identification of anomalies or inefficiencies in the process. At least one or more information on the shipment is used when shipment is closed.
|8.||WO||WO/2013/108273 - IMPROVED PERFORMANCE OF HIGH FLUX LEDS (LIGHT EMITTING DIODES) WITH THERMOELECTRIC MANAGEMENT||25.07.2013||
|PCT/IS2012/000001||ESJONSSON, EHF.||STURLA, Jonsson|
A light, comprising at least one high flux light emitting diode (LED), a heat sink and at least one thermoelectric module (TEM) having a first surface, thermally connected to the heat sink, and the second surface connected to the second heat sink. Thus creating a lower than the ambient temperature environment around the light emitting diode that changes the initial operating of the LED. The present invention relates to Light Emitting Diode (LED) based lamps, utilizing thermoelectric modules, improving the efficiency of the lamps and controlling several other variables s.a. frequency, color rendering index and lifespan of the light emitting diode. With heat conducting material, with a high surface area/volume ratio, improves the task of lowering the operating temperature of LEDs. The LED may be of any conventional type AC or DC, the invention however is particularly useful for devices using high-flux LEDs.
