The present invention describes a flexible pipe coupling for assembling pipes, that is adjustable, exact and robust, and is advantageous in comparison with the prior art since, besides solving existing problems, it satisfies user demands for easier ways of manufacturing, assembling and adjusting industrial pipes. The pipe coupling is composed in a non-limiting manner by clips (1) interconnected by screws or bolts and especially designed to form a flexible strap that is fitted around the pipe (2), it being possible to add or remove clips depending on the diameter of the pipes (2). The bolts are not threaded and can be easily removed in order to remove or add the clips (1), so as to adjust the tool to the diameter of the pipes.

A production method and a thermoplastic compound with fibres from manioc plant stems are disclosed, which compound is composed of a mixture of manioc plant stem with thermoplastic products and can be used in the fields of extrusion, injection-moulding and moulding of any thermoplastic product, manioc plant stems forming up to 70% by weight of the compound. According to the method, the stem is separated from roots and leaves, ground to grains of 10 to 15 mm, dried to about 12% moisture, and finely ground leaving fibres of 0.8 mm to 1 mm. Finally, the method is completed in a screw-type or paddle-type mixer, to which the selected thermoplastic is added, optionally in granulated form to be injected, blown or extruded.

An opener for opening the pull tab of beverage cans, made of plastics, elastomers, silicones, rubbers and other polymers, with an elongated, elliptic tubular shape 3 (figures 1A, B, C), sufficiently wide to cover the pull tab 7, or with another geometric shape (figures 9 to 11), or six-sided, inter alia. The dimensions, thickness, hardness and flexibility 8 are selected to optimise and facilitate insertion 10 over the pull tab 7 in order to open the beverage can 11. The main difference and innovation is the unprecedented flexibility 8, which easily overcomes the level difference 9 between the can edge 5 and the beginning of the pull tab 7, without requiring any effort to insert the opener, the body 1 of which forms the lever 12. The opener can also be used to open metal and plastic screw caps, being rigid enough to open the pull tab of beverage cans and flexible enough to envelop the screw cap, making it easier to open the cap in an optimised manner (figure 7, 8 or 14). The opener is also a bag opener, formed by the cavity in the body of the opener, when the body (4) if hollow, or by the hollow ends of the body, when the body is solid, for which purpose a pull tab for beverage cans (figure 16) or a fixed blade (figures 15 and 20) arranged inside the opener is used. The opener can also open caps of glass bottles, for which purpose a can pull tab (figures 24 and 25) or special ring (figures 21 to 23 and 26 to 28) are used. The opener is also a multi-tone whistle (figure 29) and the body of the opener has a total of 21 effective functions. The opener is therefore inventive, industrially applicable and without precedent. It represents an excellent functional and technological innovation.

The present invention relates to a lengthener made of metal or a similar material for correcting limb bone deformities by surgically lengthening or positioning the affected bone at an angle, in the metaphyseal and diaphyseal zones. The lengthener has two portions, an upper component and a lower component that slide one on the other, are fitted together and fastened by serrated rails, and attached by screws to fragments of the previously sectioned bone. The two main fitted portions allow the bone to be distracted or positioned at an angle, and stabilise the bone until bone healing occurs. The device makes surgical interventions more accurate and easier, since it allows the bone to be positioned with the required angle or spacing.
