It has for some years been proposed to package chemicals such as herbicides and pesticides in a flexible pouch which is made of a water soluble material such as PVOH. The pouch is disposed within a flexible water-protective bag, and the bag is then given an outer holder, commonly of corrugated board or the like, to provide additional strength and some protection against the likely ambient conditions. Such a triple-layer package is easy and safe to use, but has some disadvantages, namely that the present outer holder does not seem to hold the bag properly, so that if the bag-disposed pouch becomes brittle it is too easily susceptible to damage from mechanical shock. The present invention proposes a solution to this, in which the pouch/bag combination is given an outer holder of a novel form which provides significantly enhanced protection against shock. More specifically the invention suggests the use, as the outer portion of the three-layer package, of a pillow-shaped open-ended sleeve-like holder made from a suitably-shaped and -cut blank (1) that has been folded in such a way as to grip the bag securely and also preferably to provide the holder with cuff-like strengthening and shock-absorbing members (24, 26) around the two end edges of the sleeve. The sleeve is kept closed by a closure flap (18) the corners (20) of which are conveniently inserted into the space between the cuff members (24, 26) and part of the sleeve body (4).

The invention relates to the enrichment of heavy fine-fractional concentrates with the aim of extracting loose conditioned non-chemically combined minerals, for instance gold and platinum. The inventive method consists in pre-grading a mined rock; mixing it with water and supplying it by means of a pump to a multichannel volute arranged above a grading screen of a hydraulic picker; and equalizing the mixture in the channels of the volute on the surface of the screen. The grading can be carried out in one or several steps i.e. using several hydraulic pickers fitted with screens having grading orifices of different diameters in order to 'strain' the mined rock when a fine pulp passes along the surface of the screen. A through product is fed from the last (n-th) picker to an 'alveolate' discharge pipe (made of several honeycombed tubes). Several cutters fitted with a device for regulating the flow rate of a mixture arising from the pulp are arranged inside each tube. When enriching an initial mined rock having a large specific mass, a vibrator having a variable power pulse array and a power pulse and oscillation frequency control valve is mounted in front of each cutter in the alveolate discharge pipe at a variable angle α.

A game of skill and strategy that can be played on almost any surface (grass, sand, water, cement, etc.), indoors as well as outdoors. This game shows some resemblance with 'tic-tac-toe'. The game comprises a reception frame divided into nine squares and four groups of disks, two for each player. The squares form targets to be hit with the disks. The first set of disks is made up of at least nine disks of the same diameter, density and thickness. The second set has only three disks of a larger diameter than those of the first group. The larger size of the disks of the second set makes them harder to lodge in the target squares. This is compensated by the fact that a larger disk can remove one of the opponent's disks and take possession of the square. First, the players take turn trying to toss the small disk into the squares. After this phase, they use the larger disks to try to dislodge the opposing player's disks and gain an advantage on him.
