An ensemble of acoustic steelpan musical instruments, being an innovation which significantly improves upon traditional acoustic steelpan prior art. Said improvements include an extension of note range across the assemblage of G-Pans, a substantial reduction in the number of steelpans required to effectively cover the steelpan musical range, the use of a compound design whereby individual component parts of the instrument, specifically the playing surface, chime, rear attachment, or skirt and the playing stick or mallet, are optimized for thier specific function, the application of a variety of techniques for eliminating or reducing, non-musical sympathetic vibrations and the inclusion of a variety of mechanical and acoustic resonator designs, to enhance optimally, the sound projection of the aforementioned instrument.

7. WOWO/2006/073378 - A SELF STARTING METHOD AND AN APPARATUS FOR SENSORLESS COMMUTATION OF BRUSHLESS DC MOTORS13.07.2006
H02P 6/18
PCT/TT2005/000001DE FOUR, RonaldDE FOUR, Ronald
A method and an apparatus for determining rotor position information of a Brushless DC motor using the resultant voltage vector produced by addition of phase voltage vectors of the energised windings and the BEMF vector of the unenergised winding. This resultant voltage vector called the BEMF Space Vector rotates at same speed as the rotor and possesses rotor position information used to commutate phase windings. Phase voltage vectors for the computation of the BEMF Space Vector are obtained by referring scalar phase voltages in the electrical circuits to the magnetic axes of the magnetic circuits, since scalar and vector current magnitudes are equal. Angles that the BEMF Space Vector makes with the real axis are measured to commutate the phase windings. This technique is referred to as the De Four BEMF Space Vector Resolver, used to efficiently start the motor from rest and commutate phase windings during normal operation.
