|2.||WO||WO/1995/034231 - BOTTLE DEVICE WITH AT LEAST ONE ASSOCIATED LENS-CARRIER ATTACHABLE TO A RESPECTIVE END OF THE BOTTLE, CONTACT LENS MAINTAINANCE PROCESS, AND ASSOCIABLE BOTTLE AND ASSOCIABLE LENS-CARRIER||21.12.1995||
|PCT/LU1995/000003||MANGERS, Robert||MANGERS, Robert|
The invention discloses a bottle device (2) with associated lens-carrier (1) attachable to the bottle, so that the assembly presents an integrated configuration and the lens-carrier may be easily attached and detached from the associated bottle when using the device. In certain embodiments, the lens-carrier is anchored to the lower portion of the bottle, and in other embodiments it is anchored to the upper portion of the bottle. In all cases, one of the parts is used as a closure for the associated part in the anchoring state, and the devices according to the invention are useful to reduce the number of manipulations necessary for the maintainance of contact lenses. The invention also discloses a bottle device offering both the characteristics of the anchoring of a lens-carrier to the upper portion of the bottle and the anchoring of an other lens-carrier to the lower portion of the same bottle. The invention also discloses a contact lens maintenance process comprising essentially the operations of detaching a lens-carrier from a bottle and simultaneously opening at least one of the parts, treating the contact lenses with the maintenance solution drawn from the bottle, immersing the contact lenses in maintenance solution drawn from the bottle and directed to the location reserved for the lenses in the lens-carrier, and reattaching the lens-carrier to the bottle and closing simultaneously at least one of the parts.
|3.||WO||WO/1995/033894 - METHOD OF SEALING EARTH STRUCTURES, IN PARTICULAR FOR CREATING CONTROLLED WASTE DUMPS WITHOUT DRAINAGE||14.12.1995||
|PCT/LU1995/000002||FIRMA ECO-ECO S.A.H.||ZOVKO, Zeljo|
The present invention concerns a method of sealing earth structures, in particular for isolating waste or for creating controlled waste dumps without drainage. The method involves the creation of three separate mineral sealing layers: the base sealing layers (2, 3) and the surface sealing layer (5) have extremely low permeability coefficients, while the middle layer (4) which contains the waste or refuse has a high sorption capacity as well as a low permeability coefficient. The high sorption capacity of the middle layer, together with a honeycomb arrangement of base and intermediate sealing layers, make a drainage system unnecessary in the case of a waste dump. By using particular waste or excavated material as sealing material for the individual layers (e.g. marl, slag, ash and sludge from wet gravel and sand separation) in this process, it is possible to seal off or isolate waste in an economical and environmentally sound manner.

|PCT/LU1995/000001||GREIVELDINGER, Roger||GREIVELDINGER, Roger|
The proposed filter cartridge consists of an approximately cylindrical housing (10) and an inner filter insert (22) provided with a fine-mesh filter screen (32) which forms the covering surface of a cylindrical or truncated cone-shaped filter basket (30). In addition, a closure unit (66) is provided to force the liquid or gas flow through the filter screen (32) or alternatively to allow it at least in part to flow along the filter screen (32) and out of the cartridge, the dirt particles which adhere to the filter screen (32) being detached by the current and pressure and flushed away.

|PCT/LU1994/000002||WATERAIR S.A.||MARON, Jean-Marie|
A solar heat exchanger including a fluid flow chamber consisting of a sealed bag (1) made of a thin sheet of impervious material and provided with at least one inlet (2) for a liquid or gaseous fluid, and at least one outlet (3) for removing the fluid once it has flowed through the bag. Said heat exchanger is particularly useful for heating water for swimming pools.

|PCT/LU1994/000001||VAN AVERMAETE, Gilbert, Lucien, Charles, Henri, Louis||VAN AVERMAETE, Gilbert, Lucien, Charles, Henri, Louis|
An engine including an assembly of at least two cylinders (2 and 3) with different displacements, and two crankshafts (4 and 5) coupled at the same rotational speed via a gear train (19, 20, 21) and a variably timed transmission having three concentric shafts (17, 28, 32) separable from the drive assembly (18) and designed to reduce the compression ratio as the intake pressure increases. The highest and lowest compression ratios are set within the angular displacement limits between the two crankshafts (4 and 5) by means of the compression ratios between the two cylinders (2 and 3), and between said two cylinders (2 and 3) and the clearance space, so that (a) the start of the variably timed transmission stroke increases the translation of the piston (8) by units of angular displacement between the two crankshafts (4 and 5) at the end of compression phase, and (b) the end of the variably timed transmission stroke combines combustion gas expansion on the piston (8) at least from the maximum torque on the crank of the short-stroke crankshaft (5).
