The invention relates mainly to how to use prismatic reflectors, LED light and continuous fluorescent color in the filling compound in metal speed bumps placed on highways to force vehicles to reduce speed in order to protect pedestrians from accidents or death resulting from being run over by vehicles traveling too quickly on highways, at intersections with towns, within city limits in school or hospital zones, etc. The 50 mm-high illuminated metal speed bumps fulfill the purpose of the invention by forcing drivers to reduce speed. The speed bumps consist of a 2 mm-thick metal framework hydraulically die-cast to give same the desired shape, and filled with heavy-duty mineral polymers and resins, said compounds also having reflective fluorescent and prismatic pigments so they can be spotted or seen far enough in advance by vehicular traffic reaching an intersection or a stop sign in zones in which pedestrians are in great danger. Said assembly can satisfactorily control light automobile or vehicular traffic. For heavy traffic on highways, this same type of speed bump that is equally reflective and that can similarly be anchored or fixed to the ground is additionally supplied with a reinforced induction-cast metal shell made of a metal having high resistance to the flexion and pressure it will endure in heavy traffic on regional or cross-country highways in any country of geographical area around the world, there being no limitations of temperature or geography on installation.
