| 1. | WO | WO/2010/045892 - METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DESALINATING AND/OR PURIFICATION OF WATER | 29.04.2010 |
| PCT/CY2009/000001 | BRANLAY CAPITAL HOLDING LTD | PONOMARENKO, Dmitry | ||||
The objective of the current Invention is the creation of an economical and inexpensive system for desalinating and purification of water at any fouling level and temperature ranging from 0° C to 100° C. Such system increases the quality of water and augments the degree of extraction of salts and impurities from water. To achieve the above mentioned objective, the current Invention possesses at least one isolated zone, where the salty (seawater) or the polluted water enters. In addition, the Invention has at least one zone of low pressure or vacuum, which is also a zone where the steam of low pressure is formed. Also, the Invention possesses no less than one zone to condense the steam into desalted or pure water. The Invention is made in such a way, that causes the salty or polluted water to evaporate when subjected to low pressure in the vacuum or low pressure zone, and salts and impurities remain in the zone for salty or dirty water. The steam of low pressure condenses in the zone for desalted or pure water. Thus the extraction of impurities, that are dissolved or are present in the water, is achieved.

| 2. | WO | WO/2010/028609 - CONTROL METHOD FOR TRANSMISSIONS AND TIME LIMITED PROCESSES | 18.03.2010 |
| PCT/CY2008/000001 | ECONOMOU, Panayiotis | ECONOMOU, Panayiotis | ||||
The invention comprises a method and devices used to control the change in the relative position of various components, referred to as 'critical movement', in mechanical and electromechanical assemblies or collection of assemblies, while a primary movement is in progress, where the critical movement has to be performed and completed within a specific time limit to avoid unwanted consequences. Examples include gear-change in variable transmissions and railroad switches. The invention is characterized by the use of each of the following steps at least once: an operator dependent step, referred to as the 'intension' step which in itself does not directly bring about the critical movement; a step referred to as 'interaction' step, which is brought about by interaction of a component with the intension step or another interaction step, where the component, referred to as 'client servant', is associated directly or indirectly with the primary movement and a step utilizing an all-or-nothing process, such as release of a pre-tensioned spring, which makes the whole process all-or-nothing. The invention can also include the following optional steps: a step referred to as 'enforcer step', which ensures the timely completion of one or more of the other steps by interaction of components with a client servant; a step involving modifications to the assembly to ensure correct function and readiness for a critical movement and an interaction step that returns the relevant components to their original positions after the process is completed.

| PCT/CY2007/000005 | ECONOMOU, Panayiotis | ECONOMOU, Panayiotis | ||||
A method is described for changing gear-ratio by displacing at least one part of the engaging surface of a composite gear (21) and aligning it to the engaging surface of another gear (22), thus permitting a complementary third gear (25) engaged to the engaging surface, to shift from one composite gear to a different composite gear, while being constantly engaged. The method can be employed in a device, which can be used to form a gear-based, continuously engaged, variable transmission. Such a transmission, enhanced by- being combined with a differential assembly and the appropriate gearing, can provide rotational motion at various speeds in one direction and the reverse direction as well as zero motion.

| PCT/CY2006/000002 | GREEN SHELTER INNOVATIONS LIMITED | NICODEMUS, Mark | ||||
A thermodynamic method employs a refrigerant liquid that is immiscible to a motive liquid. The refrigerant vapor is compressed and condensed by the action of the motive liquid that comes in contact with the refrigerant vapor directly. Since the two liquids are immiscible to each other and have different specific gravity, they can be separated for recirculation.

| PCT/CY2007/000002 | GREEN SHELTER INNOVATIONS LIMITED | LAKSHMAN, Gurunathan | ||||
The sewage treatment system of the present invention comprises at least three reaction tanks (Rl, R2, R3), a solid separator (SS), and an upflow reactor or a filter (CL). The first reaction tank (Rl) elevates pH of the sewage, more than 10.0; the second reaction tank (R2) induces rapid flocculation of the sewage from the first reaction tank (Rl) to remove all suspended solids, insoluble BOD, insoluble chemical complexes by using polymeric flocculent and/or coagulant; the solid separator (SS) separates the flocculated waste matter and solids, discharged from the second reaction tank (R2), the upflow reactor or the filter (CL) adsorbs dissolved organic compounds including gases and/or to moderate the pH of the contents from the solid separator (SS) and the third reaction tank (R3) reduces the pH of the contents from the upflow reactor or the filter (CL) to acceptable levels of 8.5. The invention also discloses a process for treating sewage to obtain a treated sewage for various applications.

A construction toy having removably connectable male (10) and female (12) connectors. The female connector (10) elastically expands upon insertion of the male connector (12). Two such female connectors (12) can be formed such that they are oriented in opposite directions along a common axis. The female connector (12) allows rotation of the male connector (10) whilst the two connectors are engaged. The construction toy also includes a component (292, 294) having an adjustable length.

| PCT/CY2006/000001 | MEDSONIC LTD | DAMIANOU CHRISTAKIS | ||||
The current invention relates to a simple and cost effective MRI compatible positioning system which is capable of carrying a HIFU transducer in order to treat brain cancer. The positioning system employs piezoelectric motors, sheets, rods, angles, pulleys and belts in order to move the transducer in 3 dimensional patterns. The system includes a plastic base (1), an X stage (16) made out of plastic and a Z stage (56) which is attached to the Y stage by means of a plastic angle. The transducer (64) is attached to the Z stage by means of an arm (61,62). The positioning device is placed on the table of the MRI scanner and access of ultrasound to the brain is achieved from the top of the head. Since the positioning device is placed on the table of the MRI scanner, this device can be used in all the available MRI scanners.

| PCT/CY2005/000002 | ANGELIDES, Andreas | ANGELIDES, Andreas | ||||
A rotating grill system consists of a double barbecue grill mounted onto a shaft or axle and the whole grill-axle assembly is rotated by a simple drive assembly over a live charcoal fire or a heat source in general. The rotating grill system is suitable for grilling whole fish or large flat chunks of meat or foodstuffs in general, placed between the two grills. Continuous or intermittent uniform rotation of the grill assembly by electrical or mechanical means assures uniform grilling hence enhanced flavour and does away with the necessity of hand manipulation and all-time attendance.

| PCT/CY2005/000004 | GEORGIOS TOUMAZOU & SONS LIMITED | TOUMAZOU, Georgios | ||||
The automatic grill for cooking meats and fish consists of the grills of an acute angle (1), the mechanism of circular retrogressive movement (2) and the motor of double use (3). The grills of acute angle (1) fit on mechanism (2) and are given a semicircular retrogressive movement at fixed times. Mechanism (2) is given a circular movement by the motor of double use (3) and transforms it into a semicircular retrogressive movement which is transmitted to the grills of an acute angle (1). The double use motor (3) from the lower square female reception (5) transmits movement to the mechanism (2) which moves the grills (1) and from the upper square female reception (4) transmits movement to the mechanism revolving the spits or the bodkins. The particular characteristics and advantages of this invention are that the grill revolves automatically, that the edible stuff is cooked on the grill (1) and that there is no need for the human factor to turn by hand and with the motor of double use (3) the spit and the bodkins are automatically cooked. Thus there is a motor for two uses.
