Abstract:

(EN)A bioabsorbable plug implant, suitable for bone tissue regeneration, comprising a first portion, and a second portion extending outwardly from the first portion, the first and second portions formed from expandable material. A method for bone tissue regeneration comprising the steps of: providing a bioabsorbable plug implant, wherein the implant comprises a first portion and a second portion extending outwardly from the first portion, the first and second portions formed from expandable material; inserting the second portion into a defect or gap of a bone, the first surface engaging the outside contour of the defect or gap; allowing the plug implant to contact body fluids, thereby expanding the size of the plug implant so that the plug fits into the defect or gap.
(FR)L'invention concerne un implant obturateur bioabsorbable adapté à la régénération de tissus osseux et comprenant une première partie ainsi qu'une seconde partie s'étendant à l'extérieur depuis la première partie, les première et seconde parties étant constituées d'une matière dilatable. Une méthode de régénération de tissu osseux comprend les étapes consistant: à produire un implant obturateur bioabsorbable, l'implant comprenant une première partie ainsi qu'une seconde partie s'étendant à l'extérieur de la première partie, les première et seconde parties étant constituées d'une matière dilatable; à insérer la seconde partie dans un défaut ou un espace d'un os, la première surface venant au contact du contour extérieur du défaut de l'espace; à mettre l'implant obturateur en contact avec les liquides biologiques, dilatant ainsi la grosseur de l'implant obturateur de manière que l'obturateur comble le défaut ou l'espace.
