(EN)A method and device are disclosed for navigation. In at least one embodiment, the method includes connecting a navigation device, located in a vehicle, to a server; transmitting information relating to changes in position and speed of the vehicle to the server; and receiving information, relating to potential delays along a route of travel of the vehicle, from the server, the received information being determined based at least partially upon information relating to changes in position and speed transmitted from navigation devices of a plurality of vehicles. In at least one embodiment, the navigation device includes a modem to connect a navigation device, located in a vehicle, to a server; a transmitter to transmit information relating to changes in position and speed of the vehicle to the server; and a receiver to receive information, relating to potential delays along a route of travel of the vehicle, from the server, the received information being determined based at least partially upon information relating to changes in position and speed transmitted from navigation devices of a plurality of vehicles.
(FR)L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif de navigation. Selon au moins un mode de mise en oeuvre, le procédé consiste à connecter à un serveur un dispositif de navigation, placé dans un véhicule; envoyer au serveur des informations relatives à des changements de position et de vitesse du véhicule; et recevoir des informations du serveur relatives au retard potentiel du véhicule sur son trajet, les informations reçues étant déterminées en fonction d'au moins partiellement les informations relatives à des modifications de position et de vitesse transmise par des dispositifs de navigation de plusieurs véhicules. Selon une forme d'exécution, le dispositif de navigation comprend un modem permettant sa connexion avec le serveur; un émetteur pour envoyer au serveur des informations relatives à des modifications de position et de vitesse du véhicule; et un récepteur pour recevoir du serveur des informations relatives au retard potentiel du véhicule sur son trajet, les informations reçues étant déterminées en fonction d'au moins partiellement les informations relatives aux changements de position et de vitesse transmises par les dispositifs de navigation de plusieurs véhicules.
