Abstract:

(EN)A steering-wheel arrangement is disclosed which incorporates a fixed element (20). The fixed element has an exterior side wall (28) on which is mounted a ring bearing (35). The ring bearing (35) engages part of the frame of a steering-wheel so that the steering-wheel is rotatably mounted relative to the fixed element (20). The fixed element (20) also has an opening (29) defining a side-wall (30), the opening (29) receiving a second bearing (40) to be mounted adjacent the side wall (29). The second bearing (40) receives a component to be connected to part of a steering column so that the steering column may rotate relate to the fixed element (20). The two side walls (28, 30) are both yieldable or deformable in order to facilitate the position of the bearings (35, 40).
(FR)L'invention concerne un dispositif volant de direction comportant un élément fixe (20) qui a une paroi latérale extérieure (28) sur laquelle est monté un palier annulaire (35). Ledit palier annulaire (35) vient en prise avec une partie du châssis d'un volant de direction de façon que ce dernier soit monté rotatif par rapport à l'élément fixe (20). Ledit élément fixe est également doté d'un orifice (29) définissant une paroi latérale (30), ledit orifice (29) logeant un second palier (40) à monter jouxtant la paroi latérale (29). Le second palier (40) loge un composant à relier à une partie d'une colonne de direction, cette dernière pouvant tourner par rapport à l'élément fixe (20). Les deux parois latérales (28, 30) sont toutes deux déformables pour faciliter l'emplacement des paliers (35, 40).
